R&D Vintage Airheads

R&D Vintage Airheads Inc. was founded in 2016 by 2 friends, Dave and Robert, who share a passion for BMW airhead motorcycles.  Designed with simplicity and beauty these airhead motorcycles are true works of art and deserved to be treated as such.  As much fun as we have with these machines, we are “hobbyists” and unfortunately need our day jobs to sustain day-to-day life.  We work slowly, preferring to take our time.  We don’t cut corners and strive to infuse enough obsessive-compulsiveness in our work to make things “right”.  We also have an on-staff Guru to instill some wisdom from “back in the day” when it is needed.  We don’t aim for “showrom fresh” in our restorations, but try to keep true to the old “it’s only original once” adage.  Our bikes are meant to be ridden and appreciated as “rolling restorations”
